NO TAXES ARE BEING REDUCED EXCEPT FOR THE WEALTHY
Written by Neon

NO TAXES ARE BEING REDUCED EXCEPT FOR THE WEALTHY We constantly hear no new taxes or we need to reduce taxes. This is a MYTH made up by the wealthiest 2% of this county. Large corporations such as EXON MOBILE PAID NO TAXES TO THE UNITED STATES IN 2009. General Electric, Citi Bank, Bank of America, paid no taxes to our country. http://www.reclaimdemocracy.org/articles_2004/corporate_tax_evasion_offshore.html http://www.gao.gov/products/GAO-04-358 So who is paying the taxes to keep our society functioning? YOU ARE!!! The less money collected by the Federal government, the less there is for them to support our states and cities. The tax cuts on the Federal level means you are paying more locally. You are paying on the city and state level when property taxes go up, when schools and libraries close because there is no money, when city services for you and your families are cut, when medical facilities close for lack of funds, when bridges and roads are not kept safe. In most areas City and State Sales taxes. as well as state and city income taxes have to be raised to make up for the decrease in Federal aid to the local government. State and city fees such as drivers licenses, building permits and other licensing fees continue to rise. Food prices go up as states and the federal government assess higher gas taxes causing higher transport costs. As things continue to be outsourced jobs are lost and companies are closing or moving out of the country. Less Payroll taxes are collected Salaries are going down and benefits are being eliminated. Large corporate taxes are paid to other countries who are making a profit from our families. Soup kitchens and food closets have a growing need. Military families are in need of food and financial assistance. YOUR TAXES ARE NOT GOING DOWN THEY ARE JUST BEING REDISTRIBUTED BY INCREASES IN THE BURDEN OF FEES AND TAXES ON STATE AND LOCAL LEVELS. DO NOT BE FOOLED.

AVENGE YOUR RIGHT TO BE HEARD THROUGH YOUR VOTE!
Written by Neon

AVENGE YOUR RIGHT TO BE HEARD THROUGH YOUR VOTE! There is something called the “self-fulfilling prophesy”. This means that if you hear something or are told something it will affect you in a way to cause it to happen. We must not listen to what others predict. We must adhere to our own values and insights. You can maintain your rights through your vote. Do not allow others to tell you what will be. Make sure that you control what will be by encouraging and bringing others to vote. Five right wing Justices of the Supreme Court have given rich corporations the power to influence our elections with their wealth. This interpretation of “freedom of speech” gives the equivalent of more than “one vote” to the most wealthy of our society. Saying that a corporation is a person with the same rights that humans have is a violation not just of law but of G-D’s law. Those with strong religious beliefs and those who recognize that an individual is created with “unalienable rights“ know the difference between people and a corporation created by state corporate laws. When corporations can use their finances to influence the vote then those who represent those corporations demonstrate the power of more than one vote. In the book Animal Farm it says at the end “ that all animals are equal except that some animals are more equal than others.” This book was written to let us know how important it is to guard democracies. Those who show them selves as “more equal” by procuring votes through the use of false ads and misleading statements are not supporting democracy, they are attempting to destroy it. There is an attempt to eliminate the middle class , who throughout history have fought against the injustices against “we the people.” Do not be fooled by what seems to be Democracy. It is a pretence to fool us and to make us vulnerable to controls which will further move us away from Democratic rights. It has always been difficult for those less financially successful to get involved because of the burden of raising and providing for a family. Yes it is important for them to get involved but they need an assist. Those of us in the middleclass need to use our time, energy, and any spare finances to keep afloat the hopes of the many to maintain a strong Democracy. When people want to take away our established rights, that many have sacrificed their lives for, we must fight back. We need to preserve our system of justice. It is important to maintain our infrastructures. There are those running as Republicans many calling themselves Tea Partiers, who want to eliminate: the Departments of Education, Agriculture, Environmental Protection ,Medicare, Social Security, encourage out sourcing, divorce, freedom of choice of religion, corporate taxes, and so much more. Hold on to what this country has evolved to stand for. Violence has become the response for those who pretend to speak up for constitutional rights. Hold on to your rights and avenge those who would take them away. Do not allow them to use corruption and manipulation to limit your voting ability.

Cut Out The Middleman Or How To Balance The Budget One vote at a Time
Written by chapinfan
Thursday, 21 October 2010

The concept of one person one vote has been taught to all of us in our homes and schools as long as I could remember. The struggle for  Women's and Minority rights to vote changed the morality of this country. The concept that each person is equal and has an equal right to vote has been with us for almost 100 years.

It is time we rethink this concept in light of the recent Supreme Court decision that places no limits on Corporations to influence our elections or  should I say buy our political candidates. They are spending millions of dollars to affect the outcome of our elections. If we have to live with this judgement, why not make the most of it , for the betterment of our country. Now that are elections are up for sale why not have it help us balance the budget.

I propose a simple solution. Why not charge a fee for every vote. We don't want to exclude anyone so we can give each person one vote for free. If you want more then 1 vote you can purchase more votes for $1000 each. Instead of giving the money to control politicians, it  can be given directly to the government to control the vote. People and corporations (I'm sorry I just repeated myself, I forgot that corporations are people) can write tax deductible checks to purchase their votes .  To increase sales during slow times, we can run specials like buy 1 get 50% off the second. We can give quantity discounts, like buy 10,000 votes get 20 % off. We can print coupons to be printed in the newspapers and online. We can create a major industry, creating jobs and balancing our budget. We can have a national lottery where the winner receives 1 million votes payable over 20 years of elections.  We can ask the Supreme Court to extend the Citizens United Act to consider countries to be people too allowing us to sell votes directly to other countries, like China,Iran, and others. This will allow us to balance our trade deficit.
