Every 4 years we find ourselves as Americans with the prospect of voting for the candidate of our chose to lead our nation. How insignificant we feel when we consider our one vote compared to the 100 million ballots cast. How silly it must seem to blog when there are so many bloggers out there. How small we must feel compared to the many planets and stars in the universe. When my kids were young, they had a children’s record album,(for those of you who don’t know what that is, it was a round vinyl disc that played music) and on it was a song about a penny. As the song progresses it teaches us that if you had 5 you would have a nickel, and if you had 5 nickels you would have a quarter and then if you had 4 quarters you would have a dollar. Back then a dollar still had some significant value to a young child. As insignificant as we feel, we must vote. And like the penny song we must work to bring others to vote. It is true that our 1 vote or one blog won’t by itself change anything, but by each of us working together getting 2 or3 people to vote and then they get 2 or 3 people to vote, etc. etc., for all you mathematicians, you know that that could add up to thousands. Thank you to neon for her time and commitment to this blog and this world. It is people like her and hopefully all of YOU that will make this Earth a better part of the universe.
